Shadow was the first one I played and it was quite a challenge. I spent most of my days doing nothing, walking around the woods to get away from home because living with my parents was a nightmare so one day I went on GOG and found the stalker games were all on sale for something like 15 bucks for the three of them. I was the stereotypical definition of a loser. I thought the game looked really cool but I didn't buy it as at the time being a broke fresh out of highschooler with no job well yeah no money.Ībout a year later after I just left my first job I was kinda down, a year or so had passed since high school and I had no friends, all the promises of 'always being friends' hanging out after high school' and what not were all empty.
I think I first saw footage of Call of Pripyat where a guy was exploring the inside of a building. In the summer after high school I started seeing a few recommendations pop up on youtube after watching alot of urbex videos.
